Back by Popular Demand
My growing retreat business has made it hard to run this training since 2023, and yet after 12 years of sharing prenatal teacher trainings I have deeply missed this rewarding work of training and working closely with teachers diving deep into the topics of pregnancy, postpartum, and the pelvic floor.
And, over the years an extensive waitlist has grown of yoga teachers who heard of the training through podcasts, webinars, trainings, or word of mouth from past trainees.
And so, I finally decided to begin again.
After a two year pause, Home Yoga PYTT will continue to be run just once a year in a one weekend a month format, spread out over 4 consecutive months to make it accessible and well paced for working yoga teachers and busy parents to integrate into their life without too much stress and subbing out consecutive classes. This training schedule is ideal for the pace of learning and integrating the new knowledge to become the best prenatal yoga teacher you can be.
Past Cohorts:
What Makes This Training Different
🌀 Strength-based & evidence-informed
Pregnancy is not an injury or illness. It is preparation for a major life event.
You’ll learn to teach prenatal yoga that builds strength, stamina, and resilience: physically, emotionally, and energetically.
🧠 Deep anatomy you can actually use
Graduates consistently say the Pelvic Floor Anatomy module is the best anatomy education they’ve ever received in a yoga training.
You’ll learn how anatomy shows up in real bodies, real classes, real moments, not just on slides.
🔍 Critical thinking over memorization: adapt to the students that show up for your class and learn to problem solve like a private yoga teacher within your public classes to show up for each unique student each phase of their pregnancy journey.
No rigid sequences. No dogma. No rote memorization.
You’ll learn how to problem-solve, adapt, and teach to the individual within a group (the most essential prenatal teaching skill)
🤍 Integration, not overload
This program prioritizes:
Practice teaching
Feedback
Integration
Time to embody what you’re learning
So you leave confident, not overwhelmed. Graduates have a super high success rate feeling confident to immediately start teaching and sharing pre and postnatal yoga with public classes and private clients.
🌿 Sacred space & true community
Each cohort is intentionally small and deeply held.
We begin each session with the traditional teacher–student prayer, honoring the sacred tradition of yoga and the shared learning path each trainee brings.
Many graduates describe the cohort bonds as life-changing.

About Lily Dwyer Begg, your Lead Trainer:
I have led prenatal teacher trainings for the past twelve years at Charm City Yoga, YogaWorks, and at Zen Space in Japan. A former professional modern dancer, I have practiced yoga for over two decades and taught full time since 2006. I specialize in sharing alignment based vinyasa, prenatal, postnatal, and yoga for scoliosis with an approach that integrates athleticism, precise anatomical awareness, and embodied inquiry to help students develop as conscious movers.
Childbirth and motherhood have been my most transformative spiritual teachers and inform every aspect of how I live and teach. I teach an active style of prenatal yoga because I believe that empowered birth and motherhood require great strength and stamina in body, mind, and heart! Pregnant people are not injured or sick, they are training and conditioning for a major life event. My classes focus on physical stability, emotional integration, fostering community among students, easing common pregnancy discomforts, and holding space for students to open to the fullness of their experience.
My goals as a prenatal yoga teacher are threefold:
to help you feel as strong, integrated, comfortable, and capable as you can in your shifting and changing body each day during pregnancy
to support your nervous system and protect your grounding so that you are capable of meeting your child’s birthing day with calm, deep trust in your experience, and a feeling of empowerment - no matter what kind of birth you envision or have.
to practice prenatal yoga wisely thinking forward to best support the most efficient recovery postpartum.
I have taught internationally from Germany to Japan, shared practice with YogaWorks in studios, teacher trainings, and online platforms worldwide, offered yoga for athletes with the Golden State Warriors NBA basketball team and an NCAA diving team, and worked therapeutically with private clients across the globe.
I run a thriving global virtual practice platform with potent weekly livestream classes, private sessions online and in person, international yoga retreats, and an annual 100% online Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training delivered via livestream calls and pre-recorded lectures.
My classes invite students into a creative, flowing vinyasa practice grounded in breath and anatomical precision. I lead from my personal teaching motto, feel don’t force, which cultivates playful presence, curiosity, openness, and non-dogmatic thinking—supporting a meditative state of embodied awareness and transforming students’ perception of what is possible on the mat.
I am profoundly grateful for the yoga tradition and for all her teachers, past and present, who inspire my path both on and off the mat. I currently live in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA with my husband and two sons.
