Wholeness:

Greek Island Yoga Retreat

Amorgos |September 27- October 4, 2027

Welcome to amorgos.

(no one will find you here.)

We meet in the quiet, sun-drenched days of late September where olive and pomegranate trees stretch toward the sun, goat bells sound from winding whitewashed streets, and crystal clear sea waters shimmer from every yoga shala on this island of wild beauty and unmatched serenity.

"I’m still basking in the beauty...the incomparable knowledge that you shared with us was very inspiring. I want to do it all over again!"

-Antoinette Snyder, California

Feel hurry and stress evaporate from your body.

Let breath and movement become a love song.

Go deeper into the practice, and into yourself.

relax into presence and open to the life force that is aching for you to slow down and LISTEN.

SOMA, the root of “somatics,” is of Greek origin and means “the body in its wholeness.” This retreat is a yoga immersion rooted in the invitation to drop into your wholeness: nothing to achieve or perform, just profound being. A week of slow travel and potent yoga practice woven together on a mystical Greek Island. A sacred space that welcomes the wholeness of your experience and embodiment. A remembering of who you are beneath the titles you wear and the roles you play and the responsibilities you carry.

"Lily provides an invigorating, transformative yoga practice and a holistic approach that invites retreaters to uncover, work through, and renew their life energy. To me, this is what a yoga retreat is all about."

-Liz Lord, Maryland

We return for my third retreat at my favorite retreat center in the world.

On the serene Cycladic island of Amorgos, life slows to a sun-washed, spacious rhythm and feeling, rather than forcing, becomes your guide.

At the heart of this retreat is the practice of slow travel. We linger longer in the shala for unhurried practices that weave together dynamic yoga asana and space to dig deep into our practice, meditation, and extra-long savasana. We alternate restorative afternoon practices with open afternoons for rest, wandering, swimming, or adventure, leaving room to move at the pace of the island and let the days unfold naturally.

This is not a retreat with a packed itinerary. It is an invitation to be. To unwind. To let the location and the yoga practices work their quiet magic. Bathing in the salty sea, savoring nourishing Greek meals, practicing together, and waking each morning to a view fit for a queen, you will leave feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and reconnected to your wholeness.

Unhook from the hustle of responsibility back home and arrive far from the hype of Santorini and Mykonos, where a sign at the port reads: “Welcome to Amorgos, no one will find you here.” From the ferry, you are whisked away past crystal-clear turquoise coves, blue-domed churches, a slow-moving herd of goats crossing the road, and the windmill-studded whitewashed village of Hora, craning your neck to take in the steep mountains tumbling into the sea.

This is the under-the-radar Greek island of your dreams, peaceful, pine- and sage-scented, and blissfully uncrowded. Your days melt into a gentle rhythm of potent yoga practices grounding you into body, breath, and spirit, floating in the salty sea, long lunches and lingering Greek salads, golden-hour walks barefoot from beach to shala, and frequent visits to the exquisite onsite spa for hammam/sauna/cold plunge circuits, or decadent treatments.

Home for the week is Aegialis Hotel & Spa, the island’s only five-star, family-run, eco-conscious retreat center, perched above the Aegean. Every room opens to sweeping sea views, farm-to-table meals are prepared from cherished family recipes, and daily access to the spa, complete with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and saltwater pools, is included. Each day begins with a two-hour alignment-based vinyasa practice in one of seven breathtaking yoga spaces, fully stocked with every prop you need, followed by ample free time, curated group adventures, blissful beach days, spa time, and deeply grounding afternoon workshops. With medieval villages, cliffside monasteries, bougainvillea-lined streets, vibrant dining, and stunning quiet beaches waiting to be explored, this seven-night, eight-day retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and return to a more nourished, regulated, and grounded self.

go deeper BY RETREATING

There is something extraordinary that happens when you travel. Your familiar reference points dissolve. Your body softens its assumptions. Your mind grows curious, open to new ways of doing things.

Going on a yoga retreat opens new possibilities in body, mind, and spirit - and at the same time grounds a deep remembrance of your innate wholeness: that inner wisdom that is already, always within, nothing to achieve or prove.

The consistency of two yoga sessions a day away from daily responsibilities and routines can result in profound shifts. By slowing down and attuning within to your body and to the natural world, you’ll relax into a state of wellbeing and ease you never knew was possible.

Or maybe exploring the island’s winding roads on a scooter is more your thing.

return to center

Long after your time on retreat has ended, its effects will continue to ripple out into your daily life back home.

Walk away feeling…

  • Deeply rested and restored

  • Grounded and at home in your body

  • Nourished, regulated, and calm in your own skin

  • Open, present, and connected to what matters

In the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, it is written,

You who are the embodiment of blessing,

Once you know the way,

The nature of attention will call you to return.

Again and again, answer that call,

And be saturated with knowing,

“I belong here, I am at home.”

“Lily's Greece retreat was amazing. As a mom of young kids and business owner I wasn't sure it was possible to take the time away from regular life to travel to Greece on a yoga retreat. However, it is possible and not only was the experience unmatched, the longer term benefits of the refresh continue to grow. I highly recommend any of Lily's yoga retreats and will definitely be doing another one in the future.”
