The time away has given me space to reflect on what was potent, transformative, and healing about gathering together to share a practice community and a physical space.
It has also given me space to consider how yoga can best be taught and offer the most value for students - which for me - is not in the context of a drop in casual studio model.
I love leading retreats and building a solid container for my students to really get to know them as people and practitioners so that I can best support them as yoga students. When we build a closed container, like a set session, I find that students commit to the process and to themselves with a deeper intentionality. We create a structure and a catalyst for growth and self inquiry. We create a community of support camraderie and accountability. We create a cohesive space to learn a cumulative practice by building and branching from what we learned the week before instead of reinventing the wheel each time. Lessons are planned upon one another so that students feel a real sense of the journey and satisfaction along the way and make great strides. Connections can be seen and felt - there is an intentionality and a synergy to this way of working.
About the class:
Thursday Vinyasa is smooth like honey. This class is prop light and will help you drop out of the monkey mind and into the rhythm of your body and your breath. Move in all directions, connect to your core, and surf the wave of the breath into the sea of bliss. Time will be devoted each session to the art of repetition - Sun Salutations that flow at the metronome of your ujjayi breath without so many fancy poses or transitions to get up in your head about. The methodology of this class is a trusted classic and the best way to get your newbie yoga buddy to fall in love and commit to the practice.
I like to analyze “level” from both the framework of technical level and in terms of intensity level. This class is open to all levels on a technical level (no handstands in full lotus pose required) but on an intensity level it is a strong dynamic practice and we will flow and move at a breath based pace.
The Pro Rate is only available to those who make their living full time as a yoga teacher, massage therapists, or fitness coach.

Instead, please enjoy the recording of the class that I will send after each class. (Class will NOT be live-streamed, but WILL be recorded). At the end of each 8-week session you will have lifetime access to a password protected online library of all the classes we shared together so you can go back and revisit your favorites.
How:
Easy as 1-2-3
Before our first session, Lily will send an email to the group with detailed instructions about parking and a door code.
Doors open promptly at 5:50 pm so you have space to settle in and find your spot, use the restroom, etc. If you arrive early, please wait until 5:50 to come inside. Classes begin promptly and on time. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to set up.
3. Once a session, we will have a community potluck, hike, or outing to gather outside the context as yoga practitioners and get to know one another as fellow human beings. Winter Intensive we will gather for a crisp autumn hike with a potluck of cookies and bring your own tea! Our hike location is the Red Trail at Cromwell Park and the hike date is Fri, January 20 at 4 pm.
