We focus on strengthening the mid back for spinal extension and hamstrings and glutes for hip extension. This slow burn and pattern building in our muscle memory pulls us into symmetrical and asymmetrical backhanding poses like Ustrasana, Kapinjalasana, and Natarajasana.
