Class starts like a slow meandering walk along the path to orient to sensation, breath, the path of our awareness. Firmly rooted in our bodies, we start to open ourselves to a brisker pace - fluid lunge sun salutations progressively deeper into quadriceps and heart opening expression. We make it to the peak - like looking down at a wide open vista on a hike now we slow down, breathe deep, and take it all in with deeper asymmetrical half camel pose variations and belly down backbends. As we wind down, we consider: can Wheel pose be an exhale? An expression of unwinding and downshifting in our nervous systems?
